Half Day Australia's Seafood Capital
Port Lincoln is Australia’s Seafood Capital, producing a diverse range of premium grade seafood and exporting agricultural products from the region.
First we visit a local winery set on the hills above Port Lincoln for a tasting. Ascending further to the summit of Winters Hill we gain a scenic vista across the bays and land mass of Lower Eyre Peninsula. To the east on a clear day the extent of Australia’s second largest natural harbour becomes apparent with its many islands, sheltered bays and coves.
Port Lincoln is renowned for its rich sea harvest and the millionaire fishermen status is on display, with their luxury homes over looking Boston Bay.
Descending to the foreshore we visit Axel Stenross Maritime Museum an assembly of local fishing and shipping history. Today boasting three jetties and a large marina the wharfing activities are endless. Hear of the different fisheries as diverse as calamari is to tuna, as abalone is to sardines, each with their own specialised boats and each with their own taste and texture. The last stop for the day is to a local seafood company to purchase your favourite delicacy (own expense).
Operates: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 1pm to 5pm.

One Day Oceans and Oysters
The One Day Oceans and Oysters tour allows you to get a behind the scenes glimpse of a very tasty part of this industry.

We continue on to the Coffin Bay Oyster Farm where we learn of the “Oyster Town” history.
Our next stop is a yabby farm, these interesting little creatures are grown in channels cut out of the land and appear on many local and interstate menus as a tasty delicacy. We then have lunch at The Oyster Bed Restaurant, overlooking Coffin Bay.
