Town and History Tour

Port Lincoln has had a colourful and sometimes turbulent history and many famous explorers have connections with the town and its surrounding districts. On this two hour informative tour, you will visit several places of historic relevance, and learn about some of the characters and their stories.

Your tour guide, Phil Porter, is a descendant of Captain William Porter, who brought the first European settlers to Port Lincoln in 1839, and was directly involved in many of the places we visit. You will also meet Wander our orphaned Joey kangaroo who accompanies us on all tours.

You will come to understand the intricacies of the industry that has brought Port Lincoln’s title of Seafood Frontier and learn the best places to find Port Lincoln’s freshly caught seafood.
