Glass-Bottom Kayak Sanctuary Tour

Come and try a brand new glass-bottom kayak on a two hour kayak adventure with Region X.

The tour is a perfect introduction to safe and stable sit-on-top kayaks. Kids love it, and will gain a wealth of knowledge about Australian marine life. You will see a range of sights through the see-through floor of your kayak, as well as over the edge in the clear waters.

Recent tour groups have been discovering plenty of marine life through their glass-bottom kayaks including: stingrays, banjo sharks, crabs, shellfish, sea grass beds and fish feedings. Guides will inform you of local indigenous history as well as the life cycle of the marine ecosystem.

Region X will begin your adventure by fitting you out with equipment and teaching you how to paddle before heading across the bay.

Sea Kayak Journey

Region X Sea Kayak Journey’s can be tailored to suit you and your group from two to six days, depending on your desire and time constraints.

Explore the secluded bays and beaches in a comfortable double sea kayak. Your guides will show you beautiful, local secluded spots for camping, exploring, swimming and relaxing along the Batemans Marine Park and Murramarang National Park.

You will be warm, comfortable and well fed by the Region X guides on your unique journey. At night, settle in private bush camps to relax and enjoy delicious hot dinners and desserts. Start your days with a hot and cold breakfast, a walk and yoga if you like.

The tour is all inclusive of camping equipment, kayaking equipment, guides, tuition, food and drinks, just bring yourself and your clothes.

Sunrise Breakfast Tour

The Sunrise Breakfast Tour takes in the most peaceful time of the day.

Start with a fresh brewed coffee, tea and muffins while experienced guides show you some of the finer points of sea kayaking before you start your journey.

Region X guides will teach you all the techniques you need for the tour and the stable and comfortable boats are suitable for everyone, from first-timers to experienced paddlers. Kayak to places of interest which may be islands, reefs, mangroves, sand flats, beaches and more. Tours have seen whales, dolphins, turtles, sun fish, seals, sting rays, sea eagles and huge schools of fish.

The best thing about a morning tour is that you will paddle to interesting and beautiful locations, away from places that are accessed by vehicles and holiday crowds.

Sunset Dinner Tour

Region X Sunset Dinner Tours offer a unique fine dining experience. Enjoy a full three-course dinner and effortless kayaking to magical places.

After meeting at your departure point, which may be anywhere between Batemans Bay and Narooma, guides will get you into comfortable, stable double sea kayaks. Learn the techniques you will need to navigate through mangrove creeks, sand flats, around reefs and islands before exploring exclusive hidden beaches while Region X guides prepare dinner for you.
As birds and crabs wander past your unique picnic, sit and watch the sun go down over the South Coast enjoying prawns, curries, pasta, fish, steak and dessert.

After dinner as the sun slips away, return to the water and paddle into the sunset spotting marine life as you glide effortlessly back in your kayak.
