Grand Canyon Bush walk at Blackheath

One of the Blue Mountains World Heritage areas signature walks in a deep canyon environment, ancient rainforest accentuates the beginning of the canyon walk, remote wilderness views of the Grose Wilderness, and an 800 metres deep gorge with amazing panoramic sandstone cliff escarpments awaits the end of the walk. This walk has lots of steps; walk distance is six kilometres with some creek walking in the deep canyon. We walk behind waterfalls through beautiful rock over hangs with consistent Aboriginal culture and heritage. The tour takes five or eight hours and is suitable for medium grade fitness client. Pick ups from most accommodation in the Blue Mountains.

This walk is tailor-made and can be adapted to your total needs or as an exclusive tour if booked. It can be extended to take in a full day Grose wilderness hiking with a gourmet lunch in the wilderness. This walk can be supplied as a night activity to maximise wildlife, astronomy and glow worm spotting.

Their Rocks to Rainforest eco tour is an amazing opportunity to get away from the typical tourist areas and explore the wilderness with a local ecological guide, resident over 40 years in the Blue Mountains, this tour visits the high remote peaks before descending 800 metres to the valley floor and rainforest gullies. Valley of the Waters hiking tour

Bush walk or Hike one of Australia’s amazing regions the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park, with two 1400 foot waterfalls as a focus their professional ecological guides accentuate the unique aspects of the area.

They pick up at your hotel for a half or full day hike at Wentworth Falls, our first descent is the Valley of the waters, which allows for multiple fitness levels on kilometres of different trails. Every turn opens a new and exciting photographic window and a new experience in the ancient landscape. Fauna and flora are abundant and flowers are all year round. Morning tea is spent track side, before hiking below 1000 foot escarpments and towering eucalyptus forest, reaching the pinnacle of the walk is the 1400 foot Wentworth Falls waterfall and lunch in a cave.

Their gourmet survival picnic is a handful of local produce and fresh juice; they also cater for Vegan and vegetarians from Blackheath Continental Deli.

Wine in the Wilderness Eco Tours

Visit the beautiful Grose wilderness and Megalong Valley by four wheel drive with a qualified ecological guide.
The Blue Mountains is surrounded by amazing vineyards and wine country, for the first time it has Riesling, Rose and Shiraz grown locally in the upper Blue Mountains cool climate conditions of Dryridge Estate in the Megalong Valley. Experience sunset over the deep dissected plateau with a glass of local wine, cheeses and the breath taking changes in colours before heading back to accommodation.
