Four Day Lake Eyre Adventure Tour
This four day fully accommodated tour travels toward Lake Eyre via the Clare Valley and Flinders Ranges. Highlights include: Marree and the Overland Telegraph Line to Camel Trains and the historic Ghan Rail Line and the Arabunna Centre, full of Aboriginal Cultural information.
You will have the opportunity to fly over some of Lake Eyre and the Marree Man, at your own expense. This year, as floodwaters from outback rivers flow inland, Lake Eyre is filling. A transformation is taking place, and we have the rare opportunity to see it as an inland sea. As the lake fills, bird life and wildlife are attracted to this otherwise barren land. We’ll visit Level Post Bay, on the edge of the Madigan Gulf, and the Goyder Channel, which connects Lake Eyre North and South.
Operates: From Adelaide on Thursday 23 July 2009, Tuesday 28 July 2009 and Monday 10 August 2009 at 7.30am day one to 6pm day four. Other dates on application.
