Description

Spirit of Australia Cruises operate a variety of cruises departing from the historic port of Goolwa, including cruises aboard the Spirit of the Coorong in the waters of the Coorong National Park and Hindmarsh Island.

The Coorong National Park is a special place of spectacular beauty. High sand dune systems front the Southern Ocean and a long, narrow wetland complex connects to the lower Murray River and Lakes system.

It is internationally significant as a migratory wader and waterfowl refuge, is of spiritual significance to the local Ngarrindjeri people and has archaeological sites attesting to Aboriginal occupation and use of the area over many thousands of years. Ecologically focussed tours use the Park with specially designed water craft, cruising into the shallow lagoons.

What better way to see the beautiful Coorong National Park in all its splendour than a leisurely cruise around the area?
