Revel in the evocative and emotive sounds of the Australian String Quartet, as the ensemble of Sophie Rowell and Anne Horton, violins, Sally Boud, viola, and Rachel Johnston, cello tour regional South Australia for Country Arts SA for the first time.

Inspired by the landscape, the quartet presents a program of romantic works beginning with Brahms’ passionate first String Quartet. They are joined by special guest Konstantin Shamray, winner of the 2008 Sydney International Piano Competition, in a performance of Schumann’s glorious Piano Quintet. Mr Shamray’s dazzling technique will be on show in a selection of spell-binding solo piano works by Chopin and Rachmaninov.
