Description
The Gove Peninsula Festival is the single largest community event held in Nhulunbuy.
The festival begins with a float parade down Matthew Flinders Way at 10am, with the rest of the activities and fun being held on Hindle Oval.
There will be food stalls to tempt your taste buds, all day live entertainment, a kids’ zone – where kids can play or chill out. Just like town shows, there’s a side show alley, competitions for art, baking, photographic and lots more.
The Gove Peninsula Festival is a family fun day and aims to promote a sense of community by way of public involvement. In the past this festival has been a key fundraising and membership drive for many local clubs and organisations.
