Description
The town of Ceduna comes alive for its annual Oysterfest, a weekend of entertainment, fine food and fun.
Ceduna is located 773 kilometres west of Adelaide, and is the last regional centre before the South Australian state border.
The Oysterfest has street activities running the length of the main business district, live music for all tastes, a strong emphasis on beach activities and of course the highlight are the locally produced oysters, scallops and Eyre Peninsula wine which combine with the family friendly event to provide a fabulous community festival.
Competitions abound, and children are catered for with an animal farm, amusement rides, music, puppet show, craft activities and competitions.
Ceduna has been described as a 'whole town at play' over this weekend and the 2009 Festival will be another opportunity to showcase the Eyre Peninsula town's hospitality to all who visit.
Entry to Oysterfest remains free of charge.
