Ironfest held in Lithgow in April every year, continues to grow in size and popularity, and is a celebration of all things metal through entertainment, music and art.

Ironfest 2010 features the St George’s Day Jousting Tournament. This is the crown jewel event of the annual Lithgow District Ironfest and will feature a top class field of international competitors and riders. This is the biggest field of competitors to participate in and is a testament to the growing popularity of this ancient ‘original sport of kings’.

Events to be taking place as part of Ironfest will include a large-scale Napoleonic era battle re-enactment, called the ‘Battle of Lithgow’, a blacksmithing conference involving competitions and demonstrations, featuring international demonstrators; a three stage musical program featuring local regional original song writers, the Ironfest Bike Show and Competition, the inaugural Ironfest Belly Dance Soiree, art exhibitions, historical displays, and lots more.
