Kilkivan Great Hose Ride Incorporated, was founded in 1986 with the principal objective being, to conduct a horse riding event where riders of all ages and ability could enjoy a leisurely trail ride through the most beautiful scenic bushland Kilkivan could offer, and at 4.00 p.m. ride down the main street of Kilkivan for the Grant Street Parade. 1,200 riders enjoy every moment and talk about it for days.

Five trail rides are on the go around region, food and entertainment is available Saturday night at the Showgrounds in Kilkivan and with four bands. There are many 'cutting the rug' in the street on Saturday, whilst the rides are on, street stalls with local wineries, olives, cafes, wares, poets, country themes and many more showing off the townships talents! Be sure to come along, have a weekend away, and enjoy the scenery, concert, entertainment and stalls. Fun for all!!
